Hello,

i have a BCM 50, i set it up last year and runs a dream in my office.

I would like to record every incomming and outgoing call.

Can someone please let me know if this is possible and if so whats needed.

Thanks guys

thanks but really want to know if Nortel offer the feature

Ftr989, but includes a message that the call is being recorded and eats Vmail message time.

Sorry but what does that mean ?

Press Ftr989 to record call, must turn on in COS...
It will prompt with a canned greeting, stating the call is being recorded...
It will eat up too much of your HDD space dedicated to Message Time...

that sounds great, can you please let me know how i turn on cos and also what it is

Go into COS (Class of Service), most likely 1, and check Recording. Also increase your Message Time.

Thanks mate,

really sorry but please tell me where to find the COS option

Hey,

i've managed to get it working using, butttt, when i hit the ft989 it says "this call is being recorded"

Is there any way this can be changed or better still removed tottally.

thanks

roger

I told you that twice already, cuz I knew you wouldn't like it, and the answer is no.

On the newer Version you can do silent record. It is changes in the MailBoxes properities. Also you need to move the message time in the COS higher that is the leingth or the recording.

Your bcm50 must be at version 1 or 2.Upgrade it to 3.0 and load the latest patches and you'll have the choice to do "silent" or "announced" recording.

Thanks cook and gberger, learn something every day, especially since I left before 3.0.
