Voice quality on 5207

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what would cause the voice quality to go softer and harder on a 5207 IP phone. The system is a 3300 ICP. This only happens on about 3 phones out of roughly 300.

In fact, why would the voice go harder and softer during a conversation on any IP phone? I assume it's network issues but what specifically would cause this?

possibly a spped/duplex issue check the configuration of the switch ports thast these phones are connected to, as you are probably aware its better to leave the ports set to auto auto, but maybe these ports are configured to 100 half for example.

Remember 5207 handsets aperate at 10 meg
