Here is our project. Site A wants to call Site B using our WAN network (IP based), the call will route through a couple of other routers before completing. Site A uses a V11 G3R, Site B is Prologix running I believe 1.2. We do have plans to upgrade Site A to an S8700. From what I have determined here is what we need to purchase: 2 Medpro boards, 2 CLAN cards, and we also need to have IP Trunking enabled on each switch. Am I missing anything? We do not want any hidden costs to pop up. Also, if anyone has done this, can you please provide me with some advise on what the best method to use is (encryption, QOS6, architecture, compression, etc). You know all of the nerdy stuff. We have tie lines between the two sites but we are looking at saving some money by using Voice over IP.

You might see about upgrading to R2.x when you do this, R2.x gives you free IP trunking RTU's

Beginning in V12 (CM 2.0) Avaya includes two media encription options, aea and aes. I believe that one is an Avaya proprietary method and the other is a government standard. If you use the government version it affects the number of calls per MedPro because of the additional overhaed.

What type of WAN connection do you have between the 2 offices?
