IP Office 500 R4.2
Lic: IPO IP500 Voice Networking RFA (4 lic pkg)
202966
I have called my BP but responses here are typically quicker.

Scenario: It is a single site but due to distance constraints will need system at each end of the location.
- IP Office 500 R4.2 at each end; Side A, Side B (we have this system at many locations across the country and are maintaining a release standard for continuity)
- Voicemail PRO at Side A
- All trunking at Side A (1-PRI outside calling, 1-Cisco PRI intra-company calls)
- Side A: aprox 20 5410 dig phones, aprox 40 analog phones
- Side B: aprox 15 5410 dig phones, aprox 30 analog phones
- Network is fiber backbone between side A and B

Licensing for SCN is new to me, so I want to make sure I don’t miss anything when I’m putting together my list.

My questions are:
With this license, do I need it for each side or just at the Side A location?
Since they share the Voicemail PRO, is there any additional license I need on that?

I’m looking at a VCM for each side and additional +8 channels for each side.
Than the Voice Networking RFA, Side A; and Voicemail PRO, Side A.

Am I missing anything?

Networking is needed on all systems.

The ipoffice uses a channel when it calls another system.
Incoming calls is not limited to the purchased channels.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

So, if I go with two Voice Networking RFAs on each side (+4 each license) that is eight simultanious calls each direction between the systems?
Than the IP trunks between Side A and B for side B to call across to the PRIs?
Again, I will have BP support in setting it up, but I will be the primary support once it's going, so I want to have a good handle on how the SCN works. I also don't want to over-equip the system.

Example:

System A has 4 channels and B has 8

System A can have 4 simultaneous calls to system B but system B can have 8 simultaneous calls to system A.

The amount of channels is only for outgoing to another system.
Why? because you can not control the amount simultaneous calls that comes in to the system.

IF you have 8 channels then 8 is the max outgoing.
