I installed a cics with a call pilot. When you transfer calls to a mail box they are sometimes dropped without making it to the mail box trnasfered to. Any ideas
 
Are you doing a Feature 986 transfer, or transfering to an extension that is FNA to a mailbox?

The only time I have seen a problem with F986 is when the user hits a programmed extension key instead of actually dialing the mailbox number, then releases the call. Sounds like a user procedure problem, or all Call Pilot ports busy and not noticed by transfer-er??

I have recently noticed an F986 transfer glitch using a CP100 and MICS 6.1 .. Sometimes the transfer takes a little longer than it used to and puts the call momentarily on hold also returning the 'mema' tone to the set user.

There is a new firmware release for the CallPilot. Don't know if it fixes your problem or not.
 
you need to have a free intercom button in the phone from where you are transferring.
if you have only 2 intercoms and one call on hold - you cannot transfer the call using feature 986
for the receptionist increase the number of intercom keys
