Hello to all. Here goes. We have an Avaya Partner system ACS R4.0 C01. 5 Slot carrier, 3 308ECs 1 ACS Proc. R3.0. We have 15 lines now. I want to have 2 Auto Attendants 1 each for 2 separate companies. The messaging system is v7.0.42. From thread 688-1163303 it was recomended to get a 4 or 6 port card. We are electing to go with a 4 port just because of the price and this may only be in effect for 6 months. Now to the real point. What is the recommended way to install this 4 port card when we get one? Keep in mind I am an network admin not a telco guy. I only fix what is broke when it is broke. You guys have been really good in the past Thanks in advance for your help.

Turn the system off, replace the card (I assume you are talking about a PCMCIA upgrade card) and then change the programming to reflect the two additional ports that are now voice mail. So... on the Partner system, from ext 10 or 11, dial Feature, 0,0,left intercom, left intercom, #505, then add the two new extensions. If you don't know what the extensions are, and don't know how to "count" them, just start at the end of your last working extension (like if your last extension is 24, start at 25) and dial intercom extensions until you get the four that are answered by voice mail. So....once you are at the #505, and it asks for an extension number, enter the four you have identified and make sure they all say yes. That should do it - D
