I don't know what you mean by "Windows-based" - but the only Legend voicemail systems that can be programmed and backed-up/restored through Windows software via a LAN connection to the voicemail are the Merlin (Magix) Messaging Release 2.0 and higher (up to the last Release# which was 4.0). The older Legend Mail 007MLM and Merlin Mail cannot be programmed or backed-up through a PC - only through a telephone. You may also need to upgrade the software on your Legend processor (or even the processor itself - depending on how old it is and what software release it has) to make a Merlin (Magix)Messaging work with it. The Merlin (Magix) Messaging module would also need the Legend clamshell to fit in a plastic Legend carrier.
I'm refering to 3rd party VM programs...computer based or
self-contained....such as the now defunct "Brickmail".
Using a Windows GUI to program the vm boxes...
Well the Magix Messaging systems mentioned above are GUI-based, Windows software via a LAN connection to the voicemail module. I am not familiar with any purely computer-based voicemail systems for the Legend - maybe someone else is.
