Voice Mail Speach to Text feature

A customer wants a feature on a new phone system they are interested in installing that would take a voice mail message and translate it into text then email it to them. Does anyone know of any systems out there that can reliabiliy to that? I have seem this used with Google Voice. Most of the times the message is translated correctly however I have found that there are many times when I have to end up listening to the message anyway to understand what the caller is saying.

No matter what product you use for this, it will never be 100% accurate. The reason is there are too many slang terms, technical terms, dialects, accents and possible poor recordings. This is even the case with a human doing the transcription, although this is the most accurate you can get.

Depending on what email system you are using, there are voicemail systems that either have this built into their product or a STT (Speech to Text) system can be added to it. Exchange 2010/2013 UM has this built in and can use a 3rd party solution as well. Other voicemail products like from Avaya can have Mutare's giSTT product added to it to accomplish this.

There is rare software out there for the PC, you must have desktop or unified messaging.

also mutare.com has some good software

we have it with a few of our clients and it works pretty well, only issue we usually see is it not properly translating names to text
