We have an executive who says people are always getting cut off when leaving messages on his Voice Mail. Is there a setting in Meridian Mail to lengthen the message record time for one individual user who gets long winded messages? I'm not sure if I'm in the right area or not, but under Voice Sservices Profile/Timeouts, it says 2:00

go into mail.. select option 8 ( class of service admin)
enter the COS that needs changing ( probably 1 )
You may now change the Maximum Message Length and save your change.
Maximum Message Length (mm:ss):
this will change the message time for all mailboxes within the altered Class of Service

What COS (Class of Service) is he assigned to? That is where you will find it -- Maximum Call Answering Message Length. You can either change this value for all users assigned to this COS, or create a new COS for him and assign him to that. Depends on how much storage you have to work with.

you can also go to his mail box and change his box to personal and make the change one just one box. the Personel Class of service is used for just that, just tab down to personal and use the more detail key and push him out to 10 minutes, then leave him a message that long..
