I have a MICS 5.0 with a voice mail 4.0. Can call internal numbers and voice mail boxes will answer. DID calls get answered by the auto attendant instead of DID's mail box then if I try the name directory it will transfer to the correct ext, but voice mail box will not answer and goes back to "if you know your parties ext or press # for name directory". I'm getting lost on this problem.

There's a bug on MICS R5 using a R4.0 NAM. You have to turn off the Redirect DN feature using either the floppy disk patch, or by using Voicemail Manager and turning it off manually. Another option would be to upgrade the NAM to R4.1.

How do I turn it off using the voice mail manager? I've looked and I can't find it. Thank you

I think i found it. There is a patch under MICS for 5.0. My version is higher but after reqading some people say its for 5.0 and higher

I was playing with the hidden codes in a NAM R4.1 yesterday and found that if you login to F983 and then press 8 you have the option to turn off redirect DN. Don't know if this is available in a R4.0 NAM, but it's worth a try.

Under line programming, remove Prime set for the DID ltrunks (not Target lines). check the number of rings the DRT to prime is set for. Make sure it is higher than the FNA to VMail on the set. It sounds like the DID call is transferred to the prime set programmed (maybe the VMail DN) before it can get to the extension FNA>
