I am having problems playing wavs which we have created externally. I have encoded them as 8khz 16 bit mono but there is just a silence??. If i record locally through the handset its fine

I had this once. I opened them in media player and resaved them. They worked fine in VM Pro after that.

Fooball is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

I use wave pad and switch to do all the voicemail prompts. both available free from nch.com.au

nothing played means not compatible, you might have the correct bit rate and size but it might not be pcm uncompressed.

use these tools from nch and you won'g go wrong.

Thanks for that, could you tell me what format and attribute should be set to please. Thanks

I'm sure it's 8 bit 16 khz mono, not 16 bit 8khz mono!! And as stated PCM format too!!

Thanks all working now, downloaded the wav software and everything is good
