voice mail picks up before outdial

I have a MICS 7.0 and a NAM 4.1 in which I need to set up two extensions that dial outside numbers when a call comes to them.

I set up the numbers in FWD NO ANS and set the rings to 2, but after a single ring the call goes straight to VM.

The one thing here is that the extensions are ghosts, no physical phones attached.

Is that (part of) the problem ?

Do you mean you need to forward sets to an external number?

If so you need to build a route and dest code.
i.e Dest 9 to use Route 001, 991 to use PRI or Pool A etc

To forward a set:
F4 Y XXXX-XXXX
Where Y is the Dest code and X is the phone number

Phantom extension must have an appearance somewhere, such as an ANS DN.
