Hello... I have a Norstar MICS telephone system with voicemail.

I was told that there is a way to setup my voicemail box so that if a caller presses "7" or something while listening to my message, they could be transfered to my cellphone or another number. I need a walkthrough on this process if it is possible.

My system is connected to both a PRI and multiple standard telephone lines. I use the Norstar Voice Mail Manager software to configure my voice mail boxes.

Thanks in advance for any help.

First, you need to ensure the class of service assigned to the mailbox allows outbound transfer.
Next, provide a path for the call to use. You can do this using VoiceMail Manager, if I remember right its called outdial.
Setup the outdial destination at the mailbox level.
You can do this using F981.

Also make sure you record and choose your ALT greeting in your mailbox. It won't work, otherwise.

That should work with either the primary or the alternate greeting.
