Voice Mail not answering

I created a new extension and voice mail box to match the extension #6407 The mail works and the extension works. However when i call the phone it does not transfer to voice mail. it just keeps ringing. How do i fix this?

by the way i am using Merlin Mail

Make sure that extension is in cover group 30. It could be in any cover group 1-30 depending on how it was set up orginally. I know we normlly set it up as 30.

do a printout of extension info for a working phone that goes to vm. It will tell you what cover group you need to be in for the non working phone.
