I think you answer is pretty clear however we have an open records request issue and are being asked to preserve any data that may be recoverable eventhough it has been deleted in one way or another including voicemail. I would assume that the voice mail is kept in a database and is deleted on request by users and that the VM is not hanging out there as individual VM files to be recovered like a .doc file on a C drive. Can I take it that your term purged means that The voicemail is deleted and can not be recovered in any way?
