Voice Mail & Hunt Groups 1

I am trying to program our Starplus STS inskin voicemail system. We have three lines (2 voice, 1 fax). I want incoming calls on CO1 and CO2 to ring my hunt group (H450), but then go into our voicemail if no one answers(V440).

On the CO LINE setups, it seems I have to chose between directing into a hunt group OR a voice mail system but not both. Can anyone help?

You just have the lines ring in the specific extentions You want them to ring at and also set the "CO Preset call forward" (Flash 40 Page B Button 5)to group 440 and set the Preset call forward timer (Flash 40 page C button 8) to the number seconds you want it to ring on the phones before being covered by the Auto Attandant.

So then, is the hunt group (H450) automatically triggered on CO1 and CO2 when the CO Preset Call Forwards go to the voicemail (V440)?

I just experimented followed your instructions. The voicemail part is now working as desired, but not I cannot get CO1 and CO2 to ring at all extensions. So, the hunt group I configured is not being trigged. What feature do I use to make the phones ring at all extensions (or to my hunt group)?

Okay, I figured everything out. I used the Ring Assignments feature and manually entered all the stations into there in addition to the steps above. I didn't realize how that was used, or that I could enter multiple items. The display never updates when entering items (always stays "DDDR"), so I wasn't sure if they were being saved.

I'm glad you got it working. I was gonna ask today what you were using a group for. I worked on avaya for years and it took a little getting used to the names of the features used by vodavi and the whole programming procedure
