Voice mail Endpoint and Continue

Two questions.

A caller leaves a voice mail message, the system now say " exiting the system" upon compeltion of the voice mail message. Is it possible to present an option to leave another message or enter another extension number?

A caller dials an extension and hears a voice mail. The mailbox owner wants the caller to be able to dial an assitants extension if they need immediate assitance. How do u interrupt the voice mail message and jump to another extension.. Seems like we did this before an upgrade using **. However, ** now causes the caller to exit the system.
