First up the extension issue. Here's what happened.. we had a handset programmed to be extension 226. Well a tech here tried to find out what line was being used on a line, so he took the handset (x226) and turned on the roaming so as soon as the tech plugged the x226 handset into the jack, the handset suddenly became x260. Well the problem became that we couldn't get the x260 to change back to x226. So that's my first question.. what do you guys recommend I try in order to get that old extension set back on that handset?

Second, and this is the voice mail question, failing that first option, how can I get the mailbox 226 (which at present is forwarding to the General Delivery Mailbox) to be 1) an actual mailbox again and 2) accessible by x260, which the handset has now become.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Access the programming, go to maintenance, ports and dn, press DN, enter extension 226. This will give you which port x226 is. Turn off set relocation. Then, you can either move the cross-connect or plug in the set where x226 is.
