Scenario: customer leaves a voice message.
Action: Notification is sent to a specific pager.

I could not find a way to do this in a CCT. Aspect concurred that once the customer hangs up after leaving a voice mail message, the call is over.

However, I believe there is a way to complete the Pager notfication in Contact Server. Possibly by using 'send email' or 'http'. Has anyone found success in this possible solution?

hmm. I have made an app that looks at the database and accomplishes this. Problem with contact server would be if the user hangs up instead of pressing # then a send data step wouldn't kick anything

What about a CTIM step that passed the DNIS value. Then the eFlow if DNIS matches completes a 'send email' step. The CTIM step is placed before the speak phrase/record message steps in the CCT. So the email is sent before or while the voice mail is being left.

hmm you might be on to something. But when the call ends does the eflow stop?

The CTIM before speak phrase might just work, and the eflow should continue even if the call stops. The downside is if the user aborts the message, the page is still going out. Plus you could get a flood rather than just a page if there are messages in the box(es). An offline app that just polls the messages every once in a while would probably be a more controlled scenario. However, it has the limitation only checking every x minutes or whatever, if time is of the essence or anything.

If the eFlow will continue then you can loop it for 30-40 seconds then have it check the database for a new message. If there is one then email/page

Instead of checking the db for number of messages, I was thinking of just triggering a 'send email' step each time a customer message was saved. Would this not work? Does it have to be a DB lookup?

Oh you are talking customer messages not user voicemail? Then triggering just before the record message step should do the trick.
