Voice interrupt on busy ??

I have a cust that uses this feature but it will not work when they are on their headset which is the Partner headset adapter and an Avaya supplied headset. It works when they use the handset or the phone is idle. Catalyst told me they need to get a different headset- one with a lifter. Any ideas??
 
I believe it doesnt work with a standard phone , which in essence is what your doing with the avaya handset

if you use a standard handset , attached to the handset then you have system phone functions .

you don't have to use one with a lifter , the user can manually lift the handset and replace it
 
This headset stuff gets so darn complicated that it's worth calling Plantronics directly. The phone number and many FAQs can be found at
Plantronics has a helpdesk devoted specifically to Avaya products, and they will have the answer.

That is NOT to say that what skip555 says is incorrect. Please try his suggestion first...it sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I'm only saying that I'd call Plantronics long before I called Catalyst on this kind of issue.
 
Thanks all- I ended up giving him an old headset and he has to pick up the handset to use.
