Voice Gateway: unregistered port

Hello, discovered an FXS port in Voice Gateway that is "unregistered". Attempting to reset/restart is not possible apparently.

First, generally how does a working port go unregistered and second how do I correct this?

SCCP or MGCP?

If keep alives are dropped, it can cause the port to go unregistered. Generally, bouncing MGCP on the gateway fixes it. Sometimes you need to reboot the gateway if its being really stubborn.

Thank you gnr......I'm finding a consistent problem now when making outbound calls from phones on this gateway. Destination cannot hear me; I can hear them okay. Problem does not exist if destination initiates the call.
No problem making station to station calls inhouse.

Sorry, I should have asked this before. What model gateway? In either case, especially if its a VG2xx series. Most likely its a route issue.
