Hi people!

I´ve a question on sound streaming in Director.....

At the moment we are developing a nice small chat with seperate rooms, user lists,.....and so on.
Now here comes the question...we would like to provide our users the possibility to talk with each other if they like to...is it possible to access the mic with Director and to stream the voice to the other
user(s) in realtime...a simple voice chat! I searched the net but i found NOTHING on this issue...would be great if someone could tell me a problem solution (or maybe it´s not possible to develop a voice chat in Director?!)

thx!!!!

You can do that in director with the aid of an ActiveX control or a dll file. Director can import activeX controls and you can use the XLIB command to open libraries. If you have a lot of experience with windows API or VB or VC++ you could probably figure it out. I use controls in my director programs all the time. Never used dll's yet, but I know the command is there. Hope this helps.
