What am I doing wrong?

Version 5.0.11
Voice Announcement Manager

We have been doing a flat con project and my VAL manager stopped grabbing the new G450's about 5 sites ago.

I click on get VAL board information and it goes out and updates the ones I have listed already, but it is not pulling in the last few gateway's we have added.

Is it me or is something messed up? I did remove and reinstall and in the 3 minutes I spent searching on avaya.com I think I have the latest version. I am sort of a newbie to VAL manager.

Thanks in advance as I don't feel like calling 242-2121 to be told I was doing something wrong.

I am guessing that you went into "system" Register voice system and added the new boards? The IP will not be for the VAL board but to a CLAN card. Something that is setup under IP-services. It can be setup as SAT.

You may be on a newer version of Val manager than I am on. The older versions required you to use a clan for each val board. I am told the newer versions use 1 clan for all val boards. Look under "Properties" of the ones that are working and set the news up the same. Also go to "help" and contents at the top of the val manager screen for help adding a new system

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

I have experienced this issue. I fixed it by removing the whole PBX from VAL manager, then adding back in. Presto... new VAL boards show up.

Thanks,
