Voice announce on intercom?

Hi - we have a Merlin Legend R2. We cannot do a voice announce call on the intercoms now for some reason. Can someone point us in the right direction? - thanks

Are you making the voice announce call on a "SA-Voice" button?

Yes, it used to work, but now it rings whether you call from Intercom- ring or Intercom- voice.

Well, 2 things can impact this.

First, the PERSON BEING CALLED must have RECEIVE VOICE ENABLE, and the person MAKING THE CALL must originate tbe call on an SA VOICE BUTTON.

Do you do PROGRAMMING on this system?

Do you have ACCESS to SPM?

The R2 had limited capabilities in regard to this feature:

Receive Voice ON or Receive Voice OFF.

BUT, there is one other thing that could impact this, WHAT KIND OF TELEPONES do you have?

We have old Merlin analog phones, BIS34's and BIS-10's. We tried the *10, no dice. They are calling on the intercom voice key. I did program with SPM before this started to add 3 lines to the phones and tried to use the line copy feature, maybe I messed something up there? It seems like it went from just some extensions could not voice call to all extensions could not voice call after that.

in spm check out under extensions ,and see if your station are in BIS/HFAI & added into the program

More than two things, - Here's one more

The BIS/HFAI option is number 3, and cxvrbob is right.

Also, (and you probably don'thave this? but if you wanted to have Intercom Voice On Busy, you have to set the option in the LEGEND.

I've checked and all stations are listed in the BIS/HFAI setting. Intercom voice on busy is not a priority. We really just need the regular intercom voice feature back.

Well, now I guess you'll have to get serious.

With Standard SPM, do Sys Prog > exit > system > board renumber

That may bring it back to life.
