Just wondering if any guys/gals have a custom solution for the never ending battery woes of the STS cabinets?
Thank you in advance as always.

I solder in a new one. Good for another ten years +/-. You COULD solder in a battery holder, making future replacements a bit easier. However, I don't see many of these systems making it another ten years.

Doesn't that get messy? e.g. solder dripping on board?

We just avoid dripping on the board. You can mask off areas to give yourself some breathing room - the workspace is not very tight. You could also cut the existing battery off and solder to the current battery leads. Note - do NOT try and solder directly to a battery - bad things can happen.
