Vodavi Starplus 1428

Have system with 5 handsets.
Suddenly only 1 of them will ring.
The others will light up and you can answer, but wont ring ?

It sounds like it has gone back to default ,most of vodavi systems only ring the first port by default .Have you had a power outage? either the battery which holds the programming is dead or the switch to turn on the battery was not ever turned on at initialization.You can obtain documentation at Vodavi's web site,for the procedure.

We have had power outages, but it never effected the system before ?

Then I would think the Ni_Cad has expired,Most of the time they last at least 5 years.

Im sure that's correct.
Where is that battery located,and are they easily available ?

Programmed phone with advice from Vodavi Tech support and its back up.
