Greeting all,
Is there a way to setup an Auto-Arching or shared drive with Vocie mail Pro 9.0.
I have a mailbox setup to record all calls, but it gets too large.
Is there a way to archive to another server?
Or, would it hurt anything to share the user folder to a larger drive?
Thanks

Depends on the OS version. For windows you can use a shared network drive, for linux it depends if Samba is setup and a network share is mounted.
For both versions you could use a external USB drive as a storage medium for recordings.
In both version OS you can create symbolic links redirecs the folder used for recordings to a different location.
Example:
The recording mailbox is named "MyRecordings"
In Windows this folder is located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts".
Delete the folder named "MyRecordings" and create a logical link in a DOS box with admin rights with the command "mklink /D "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts\MyRecordings" \\192.168.1.122\MyRecordings or D:\ if that is the USB diskdrive"
\\192.168.1.122\MyRecordings is a shared network folder on another PC/Server
All read write attempts to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\Accounts\MyRecordings" will be redirected to "\\192.168.1.122\MyRecordings" by the OS.

In Linux the shell command is "ln -s <mounted network share or mounted USB drive> /usr/vmpro/Accounts/Myrecordings" Notice that in Linux you first set the destination and then the folder te be redirected. You must be root user to create symbolic links in linux.
