OS is Fedora Core - versions 5,6,and 7

I know this it most likely something REALLY simle, but I cannot get VNCServer to fire off on boot on ANY Fedora release.

I have tried all the soultions I can find on the web, but no luck. I would guess it is a permissions issue, but that has not been fixed by changing the perms of the xstart or associated files/directories.

I am not using the native firewall or security settings on these servers.

Any ideas that may help this tired soul?

I can't help with VNC but NoMachine has some really cool products for remote desktops.

I know that didn't answer your question but might provide an alternative.

Does vncserver working when launching it in interactive mode ?

If yes you can start it on boot using inittab or adding it as a service

It is only failing on boot...I can start it from the command line with no problems...

I have tried adding it as a service with no luck...and starting it from the inittab has me stumped as I have tried various suggestions found in documentation from many sources with no luck either...
