hi all,
i've installed VNC on my RS/6000 running aix 4.3.3.
when i connect from my windows pc i always get the root
environment. is there a way to be connected as predefined
user or with the aix login-screen ?

You should launch the vncserver from the account of the user you want. If you launch VNC from root - well, that's what you get.

From root, have you tried:

su <username> &quot;-c vncserver&quot;
