1. From home we are establishing a dialup connection to our ISP.
2. We then establish a VPN connection into our office.
3. We are trying to VNC to remotely control several PC's for support purposes!

VNC works great if we dialup directly into our Cisco router, but no go over VPN, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Oh yes, we also have a Watchguard Firewall installed between our Internet connection and the devices I need to connect too!

We use VNC to connect to all our servers incl. remote servers around the world.
All connections to remote sites are VPN using Symantec Enterprise Firewall.
It works fine except for bad internet connection in Istanbul and Rio but that has nothing to do with VNC and VPN.

It could be that your firewall doesn't allow access on the ports VNC want to use.

Is there anything in the firewall logs?

Have you altered your local routing so your IP stack knows to use the VPN interface for the traffic destined to your clients network?

I'm not clear on where the firewall is in this network scenario. If I understand your network is something like the following:

home <-----vpn/isp-----> office <---- ???? ------> client network

Could you provide further details?

We have around 15 offices all conected using VPN over the internet.
All Offices have a Symantec Enterprise Firewall with VPN.
There are VPN tunnels from any office to all the others.
IP-plan on the inside is very stricy and we have full control of all IP-numbers on the inside.
There is no IP-translation in the network.
