I'm running 8.10ubuntu and FeliciaMint. I've got a 03DC. But the question I have is. Once I join the Nix boxs to my Windows DC using Samba ofcourse. Do I Then Need to install a VNC so I can Remote Desktop onto these machine. Or Can I just using the normal Windows Remote Desktop.

As far as I know, there is no Remote Desktop host for Linux. VNC would be the better way to go. If you want to go the other way, you can use rdesktop to remote desktop from Linux into the Windows machine. Look at the options here to control geometry and the forwarding of things such as sound.

There are other things that you can use to get onto the Linux machine with X, such as cygwin and the like which will handle the forwarding of X packets.

Hope this helps.
