vmx 200 - attribute 10 - may record names for all mailboxes

is anyone familiar with how this attribute works?

at one time our operator could record names for mailboxes from her console, but her notes were lost and we had a hard drive crash so we have lost that ability.

but I see this attribute, so I would think if her extension had this attribute she could record names, but how would she access it?

we just dont know the commands you would use to record names once you had this attribute.

From the Serenade documentation:

Use the following procedure to record names:
1. Call the Octel 200/300.
2. Enter a mailbox that allows names to be recorded (COS Attribute 10).
3. Press 1 1 7 after hearing the “Ready” prompt.
4. The Octel 200/300 prompts “Enter the mailbox number for the name. To return to ready, press
pound.”
5. Enter the mailbox number for which the name is to be recorded.
6. If no name has been previously recorded for this mailbox, the Octel 200/300 says “Recording
name...beep.”
a. Speak the name.
b. Press # to end recording.
The Octel 200/300 confirms “Name recorded. Enter the mailbox number for the next name. To erase
the current name, press star twice. To return to ready, press pound.”
7. If the mailbox entered already has a name, The Octel 200/300 plays the name and says “Enter
the mailbox number for the next name. To erase the current name, press star twice. To return to
ready, press pound.”
?? To leave the name as it is, enter another mailbox number.
?? To erase the name, press
* *
.
?? To change the name, erase it first, then record it again.
