I have a customer who needs to reset the password on their phone. There is a new user at this station and they don't know how to find the old password nor reset the password. On some voicemail systems there is an administrator mailbox which this can be done but I think with the vmx it needs to be done from a pc.

To connect to the serial port TERM1, use a null modem cable and a terminal program like Hyperterminal running 7E1 and 9600 bits/s.
Hit enterto login. After login go to Update and use the command .m user s to reset the users password.
