Hi

I installed slackware and mandrake linux at vmware, but I couldnt run it in graphic mode because I dont know what driver to configure at xorg, but I saw that to run at good graphic resolution.

I have a Radeon 9800PRO in my PC, but vmware uses the same driver ou another one?

How I do to install vmware tools in linux text mode.

thanks

the video graphics *in* the virtual machine has a virtual SVGA. You need to install the vmware-tools for that. Install it is quite simple:

1. click on "Install vmware tools" in the remote Console's menu
2. it will *insert* a virtual CD with the vmware-tools installer:
2.1 mount the cd -- mount /cdrom
2.2 copy the file to some location: cp /cdrom/vmware* /tmp/.
2.3 gunzip and untar the file
2.4 run the installer
3. Done! enter in graphic mode (init 5)

Cheers.
