I have been searching the VMWare forums and the internet for sometime looking at the various problems, but nothing is obvious as to how to fix my problem.

First, here is my environment:

- Host OS: Fedora Core 5
- Guest OS: CentOS 4.3
- VMWare Server: 1.0.1
- Guest OS Networking: Bridged (required for my app)

The issue is, that while my Guest OS obtains an IP via DHCP, or I may set a static IP, and the Guest OS may ping and be pinged from the Host OS, the Guest OS can not reach the internet.

This is also true if I try a different Guest OS, such as Mandrake or Ubuntu. So the problem is either within my VMWare settings, or within VMWare on Fedora Core 5. Ideas?

Have you created the appropriate config files such as the nsswitch.conf and defaultrouter files?
