VMware P2V Asssitant-need help!!

Hi I'm a IT NOOB.

I am trying to clone source pc into another helper machine.

From the P2V Assistant manual it says to bootup the source machine so that I can get the source PC's IP address & port number.

For some reason it is not detecting any network devices on the source pc.

Needless to say I can't get anything done.

Please help??!!

Your network card may not be supported. You either need to add the NDIS drivers for your nic to your Ghost (i'm presuming you're using Ghost for the imaging) or try using the P2V boot disk to try and get an image....

I personally like using Powerquest V2i Server over ghost because you don't need the NIC drivers. You just install the powerquest agent to the target server and reboot, then you can get your image while the machine is up and running.
