VMware MSI/MST deployment - Need help!!!!!

Hi guyz,

First of all, i'm kinda new to packaging. I've done acrobat reader, winrar and office.

Now, I'm trying to make a MSI/MST of VMware 4.5. I've tried with WISE, ORCA, Install Tailor and WinInstall LE 2003.

I'm unable to get it package. Install Tailor makes me MST but it's doesn't seems to work. While starting the installation, it's asking for the same thing as when I'm launching it with setup.exe

I'm really really new to this and any tips, tricks, advice would be so much appreciated ...

As far as i can see 4.5 comes as an .exe which is a wrapper for an msi.
Unpack the msi which comes with a ready made 1033.mst.

Install tailor records properties set during the dialogs. Use it to see how the serial is captured and write it in to the 1033.mst.
Or you can apply the 1033 and your own mst together. You need to do that from a bat file though.
