VMware mouse issue

I have a wireless intellimouse explorer that works great in Windows XP Pro. I have several VMware machines setup and I can't get the mouse to work properly under the VMWare sessions. I have all the software installed, but the extra buttons don't do as they're told.

As far as I am aware u'd need to have the mouse drivers installed on all the remote machines as well for it to work.

Had u physically connected the mouse and reveiver to the machines when u were setting them up and took them off again afterwards?
Maybe VMware doesnt support these type of mice, have u checked their site?
