Hello,

Have a windows server 2003, on vmware esx, the nic stopped working this morning until I disabled it and then enabled it.

I looked at the system log and don't see anything strange in there, any ideas?

How many other VMs do you have on this ESX server and did they suffer a similar issue? You might want to check that your ESX server network config is set correctly... ie you don't have any speed/duplex mismatches between the ESX NIC and your switch as I have seen this affect VMs (and physical servers) before with similar symptoms

Hello,

ty for your reply. This is the only server on this esx server.

Is it possible that the switch connected to the esx server restarted and caused the vm's nic to weird out?
