VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB)

Hello,

Anyone has deployed VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB) with Networker.I would apprecite,if i can get Some install/admin document or steps to configure.

Hi,

If you download the Legato Networker VCB Interoperability Module from VMware download center, it will include a README-legato.html file which describes the NW configuration settings needed to get this module work.

We are in the process - but from the vmware forum - i've read of these problems:

Legato quiesce driver kills databases.
Snapshot manager (need I say more?)
Snapshots forget their place
More prone to corruption in VI3
SDK returns false positives on commits
Cause more interruption during creation/commit
Cannot run a pre-freeze or post-thaw unless you use the "quiesce" option

I also don't like that we have to do manual restores -
I'll let you know if we get any further.
