Hi,

I am new to AIX. We are currently porting our application from Solaris to AIX. When have one AIX system, which contains many lpars. If I run vmstat, iostat, netstat and mpstat in one of my lpars, are the stat outputs for my lpar or for the entire system?

Appreciate all your help.

Thanks,
Paul Ng

It's for one LPAR. The servers are completely isolated from each other by the hypervisor.

Cheers

Yep, just for an lpar.

in an lpar, you can also run lparstat

lparstat is only available on AIX 53

You can also used a lot of others tools:
svmon, tprof, curt ...
