Customer has a Partner ACS 7.0 with voice mail. Their AA answers all calls first. They just got CID from telco and that works just fine. The problem is that when the AA transferrers calls to each extension before the CID info is displayed the ext. user sees VMS for a few seconds. This is delaying them from picking up the phone right away. Any way to immediately have the CID name number display on the first ring?

No, the first step of the transfer is the VMS flashing, dialing the destination extension number, waiting for a moment, then disconnecting to complete the transfer. Until the VMS does the disconnect, it is actually an Intercom call from VMS, which is what the display is indicating.

The only possible solution would be to do a CID inspect on whatever CO line was flashing at the same time as the transfer - but I guess that would a) depend on not very many lines being in use so you could guess which one it was and b) would probably take as much time as just waiting for the VM transfer to be done... oh well...
