VMS 7 Busy/Not Answering and errors

This morning I came in to work and the a call came in and I tried transferring it to somebody's voicemail and received a busy signal.

After taking a message. I checked and nobody was using the phone system at all. If I try to check voicemail I get a busy signal. If I try the web interface I get a message that the system is busy. I've tried powercycling the system. Reseating the module. Moving the 4-port messaging card to slot 2. And the problem is persisting. I can't login in with the admin program. Tried telnetting into it and got this:

IDE_Controller::reset(): isBusy
IDE_Controller::reset(): isBusy
IDE_Controller::reset(): isBusy

over and over and over again.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the VM is toast , I had the same thing recently on a VS 4.0 but it also had busied out 4 co lines .

I replaced the VM

(I hope somebody comes along with a cheap fix )

I called the company we bought it from and am sending it in for replacement/repair.

Hi toxmox,
I've had that twice with the R6. Sounds like the HD controller went south. Doesn't matter as the basic module is toast.

Skip, did you try another HD? Might just be the drive. Try putting another VS rev in, the fault code should change.
