hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has set up VM Pro on a windows server 2008 machine yet and got it working?

we have the following...

403 (3.2.61)
VMPro (3.2.36)
ALL licenses are valid

we have installed the VMPro client on the 2008 server but cant get the voicemail to run?

we do still have the old server on the network. i have stopped the service on the old server and started the service on the new. would this make any difference?

Have a look here;

64bit is definitely NOT supported.

I was a wrong about the 64bit thing;

Windows Server 2008 and Windows SBS 2008 (32 bit and 64 bit) will support VoiceMail Pro 4.2 however “IMS” is not supported when loading VoiceMail Pro 4.2 on Microsoft Server 2008.

It will not work with 3.2
You need to be on 4.2 for 2008 to work
There are some settings that need to be set on 2008 so you can give it a shot

VoiceMail Pro installed on Microsoft Server 2008 should have the following Microsoft options enabled for Internet Information Services (IIS) and Common Gateway Interface (CGI).

(ISS)

Go to MAnagement tools and be sure that this is checked:

IIS6 management compatibility
IIS6 metabase compatibility
IIS6 WMI compatibility
IIS6 scripting tools
ISS6 management console

And

CGI (Application development)

looks like you will have to get another machine with a different os. or upgrade your 403 to a 500 :)

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.
