Hi.

We have an IP office V2 R10 preferred witn a AppServer in linux R10.
In the IPOffice we have VMPro TTS professional license
VMpro is working, but the token "speak text" does nothing.

What do I need for being able to use TTS ? we'd like to use it for recording prompts in several languages.

Thanks in advanced !

Go to platform view and then Updates | Services. Check to see what is listed for TTS components (for example TTSEnglish). There is a separate DVD for the TTS languages on support.avaya.com and I think they don't get installed by default (admittedly now a couple of years since I've had to install a system from scratch).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks a lot , Sizbut !!

I'ts working !

Now I need to learn how to modify speed and other parameters when writing in the description box in order to generate appropiate prompts !

Regards !

Okay, since Alfonso isn't sharing solutions I checked that my rusty knowledge.

For Server Edition/Application Server installation, only the English TTS engine is installed by default.

For other languages, you are supposed to download 3 additional ISO images from the same loacation as a Server Edition ISO.

When doing a manual install from DVD, the process prompts you to when to insert the language DVDs when required. How things works for a USB install I don't know.

However, for an existing installed system, it is still possible to retrospectively add the TTS engines for different languages.

[ol 1]
[li]Download the TTS language ISO files for the IP Office release from support.avaya.com. [/li]
[li]Extract the individual language RPM files from the ISO files. [/li]
[li]Log in to your systems web control/platform view menus and go to Settings | General. [/li]
[li]In the Software Repositories section, next to Applications click Browse and select the first language RPM you want to add. Then click Add. [/li]
[li]The Uploading spinner appears to just keep spinning so give it a minute or two and then go to the Updates menu. You should see TTSx listed as an application. [/li]
[li]Repeat for any other language RPM files you want to add. [/li]
[li]Now on the Updates menu, for each new language, click Install. [/li]
[/ol]

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry sizbut. I was solving and issue with the system. And after all I did need to sleep a little bit

I did a diferent job.

As my apps-server is ESXI virtualized, I configured the DVD virtual unit int vm settings as a ISO file (must be in the ESXi datastore) and press "connect"
Once the dvd is mounted, we can access the rpm files via nautilus or terminal.
Once in the same folder, with the terminal I installed the rpm with the command " sudo rpm -ivh filename.rpm "

After that, I changed the iso file in the vmachine settings and repeat the job with other languages .

Sorry for being late !!

Regards !!
