VMPro - SMTP Password Encryption Failed

Running VMPRO 9.1.1.0 and trying to set a user/password for voicemail to email SMTP authentication. We keep getting a 'Password Encryption Failed. Please renter the password' error when we attempt to save. Saw a reference to deleting the VPIM key, restarting the VMPro service, and reentering the SMTP credentials but that did not work. Any idea what might be causing this error?
