Hi
I have a customers calls recording to Xima using VMPRO, I have all users set for all External calls to Record to Voice Recording Library. This all records fine to Xima, but they have a customer who says they left a message in a group mailbox that they think they never got. Because this DDI went directly to the Mailbox I never set it to record. So now I have made the group the same as the users set to record to library, but it wont do. It still has the message in the mailbox but not also recorded to Xima. Xima say that is to do with the VMPRO. So really the thing I'm asking does any one know if it would only be able to record at one place.
Thanks for any help

You can't record it when it's in a mailbox, Xima are correct. There is no need though, as it's already being recorded. If they say it wasn't left they either deleted it or the customer never left a message, people make that kind of thing up all the time, I have proved it on numerous occasions that the stroppy caller simply lied and no message was left.... people calling doctors are the worst for it.

Use VM to email set to copy then they'll get it 2 ways :)

Record on ICR so then calls to voicemail are recorded?

Use a line side recorder like Oak then it will record regardless :)

Thanks Guys just needed to know it couldn't be done they used to have call recording on the ISDN of there old system, so it recorded everything even when it went to voicemail.

Xima may be able to do this as well. they have line side recording. i think its called VRX or VTRX.

Yes Xima can, but we have had to put it in on ISDN30 then we are migrating to SIP so it seemed the cheepest option to have more VMPRO ports. The customer will be fine about it though now I know thats the way it works.
Thanks again for the help guys.

You can also check cradle to grave and see how long that user was in the voicemail box. Amriddle is correct when he says people lie. With cradle to grave you can check the call flow of when that caller claims to have left a voicemail. If it shows a total call duration of less than the greeting length you know that they be fibbin'.

Good point at least they can see if they did leave a message. Ill let them know that thanks
