Hi All.

This is a silly question I know, but I have a customer who wants to have 1 "standard" vmpro on UCM administrator, and 1 "Basic" Administrator. Don't know why, or truthfully care why, cuz the customer pays my salary, but I went into the VMPro Client, and created the users, went save and make live, but when I try to log in as any of the new administrators, they say "User name or password incorrect".

For some reason, since I haven't done this in a long time, I thought there was something else that needed to be done by going to manager, selecting the vmpro, logging in as a Administrator / Administrator group, but I can't find it.

Any ideas?

Regards

It’s been awhile but I remember you had to create the new user administrator on the Ipo

You have to go into web management and one of the tabs allows you to create new administrators.

This will then allow you to access the vmpro client with another user.

It changed some time ago around 9.0

I was baffled for ages wondering why my new administration account would not log in.🤷

As I said it has been years since I had to do this.🤞

Thanks for the reminder, snowman50. I'll give it a try and advise.

Regards

The administrators in the VMPro client are not normally used anymore. By default it uses the security service user setting of the IP Office running the same box (for an application server or UCM that's the IP Office on that unit, not the IP Office it is supporting).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
