I'm an IP Office newbie. I am attempting to add new user accounts to my VMPRO conference, as you can see from attached, looks like it would be simple to do, but I'm not able to figure out how to do this. I want to add account Conf 20, Conf 21, Conf 22, etc... Any help is greatly appreciated!

What you need to do is double click on where it says "Conference Menu", this will bring up the settings for the menu, go to the tab "Touch Tones" and add three more numbers i.e. 20,21,22.Click on ok to close this box. Once you have done this click on the blue telephone along the menu bar, this will bring down a list, click on the transfer action, and then click a where you want it to go in the AA, you can then double click on this and go into the transfer settings. All you need to do now is connect the two together via a connection line and click on save.

Have you considered stramlining the process bu using the $key variable as the destination of the Conf transfer
you would then only need 1 menu entry "???" or similar to get the conf number

Sabre4: Excellent info - you just saved me $110!!!
IPGuru: I have not considered that because I wasn't aware there was a more efficient way. I'm not confident to make that drastic of a change in the design by myself.

One strange thing it would not let me add past #22, when I added 23, 24, it would not put the check mark in the box. Is there some type of limitation?

Also I am attempting to replace a .wav file in one of the recordings, I located the file where the recordings are stored and told it to choose my new file but it still plays my old file. I even removed the old file and gave the new file it's exact filename, to no avail.

Toni,

The stated limit for the number of touchtone branches from a Menu action is 15, ie. even if you got beyond 23 Avaya wouldn't claim to support all the extras.

For changing the recording, did you hit Save & Make Live after, then wait a few minutes?

To get around the limited number of entries in a menu token, instead of adding 20, 21, 22, etc. simply add 2 as a choice. Link that to another menu token (name it "twenties") with choices 1,2,3,4 etc. but NO ENTRY PROMPT. This way you can expand without limit - user presses 2 from your current menu which takes them to the submenu, which plays nothing so they don't know anything has happened, then they dial 3. To them they have simply dialed 23 when prompted. You link the 3 choice in your "twenties" submenu token to conf 23 and bob's your uncle! (trying to practice my british - did I pull that expression off correctly?)

As i suggested, make 1 menu option 2? (or even ??)

this will wait for 2 digits which will be available for use as $key for the next actions

change the destination in the next action to be $ key instead of your current number & voila, multiple options from 1 menu point ( the same as Dial extn number for transfer)

You guys are absolutely fantastic! Yes you used "Bob's you're uncle" correctly, and yes it made me laugh out loud!

Ok, on the .wav file yes I did save and it's been a while and I've done it several times - it won't take.

I understand now that Morrack has explained how to get around the limitations, I know IPGuru said the same thing for some reason it didn't register with me. As you can tell I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to this new IP Office box!

IP Office is a simple product with a simple programing interface.

Sometimes Deceptivly simple, Some amazing trics can be achived with lateral thinking (or as I prefer to call it "Sneaky" programming).

I have been working on this product & its ancestor for 5-6 years & I am still learning!
