I have an IPO 3.0 system with VMPRO and would like to know if anyone can tell me how the broadcast/no-broadcast feature works. When I have a call that is left in the general mailbox (huntgroup voicemail) and I choose broadcast I determined that everyone that is part of the huntgroup gets a copy of the voicemail. This makes it difficult because we are never sure who will take responsibility for the message. However when I do not use broadcast - I'm not sure how anyone will know that there is a message in the mailbox because none of the voicemail lights will come on. I would like everyone's light to come on but when one of the people checks and deletes the voicemail all of the lights will go out but I don't think this is possible. Additionally, I would like a remote extension at another IPO (using SCN) to have their voicemail light come on as well so that they can check the general mailbox as well. Anyone have any ideas?

AS you Say Broadcast will send a copy of the MSG to all members of the group (this is usefull for sending internal memos to workers etc)

without broad cas the msg will go into the group mailbox
to get a msg indication for a group mailbox add H<GroupName> into the source numbers of the user(s) you wish to recieve the msg.
if this is set for more than 1 user it will light all the lamps untill the 1st person accesses the msg and will then turn the lamp off for ALL.
I am not sure if this will work on remote sights but I suspect it should.

Unfortuntately I don't beleive there is any way to do this. It looks like email copy is the only solution to notifying a remote extension that there is voicemail. If only SCN extensions could be part of any huntgroup!! Thank you
